Technicolour Aces

Here’s a lovely three-phase routine by Daryl with a totally unexpected surprise finish!

Four aces are displayed and a spectator names any number from one to four (inclusive). The cards are fairly counted and the ace at the chosen numbers position is placed aside as the selection. The selected ace is then shown to be the only card with the different colored back - the only red backed card in the blue backed packet. The magician displays one of the blue backed aces and explains that if this one had been selected instead, the mystery would have still been successful. The backs of the remaining cards change to red so now the blue backed ace becomes the only card with the different colored back! For a super sock-o finish, the magician places the first two aces aside (one red backed, one blue backed) and explains that even if one of the remaining aces had been selected, he still would have won the game. The final two aces are turned face down and their backs are YELLOW and GREEN! They ALL have different colored backs! The cards are completely un-gimmicked, everything can be examined, and you’re instantly reset for your next performance!
