This is my own handling of this classic of mentalism. The Centre Tear has been with us for a very long time, and over the years many various handlings have appeared.
With this technique you need not palm anything away. Within three tears the information is glimpsed and buried within the centre of the torn paper again.
The spectator can even walk away with the torn pieces. There is nothing to worry about.
The effect is simple. A spectator is given a piece of paper to write a name, a colour or whatever they please.
This is folded twice. You take the paper, tear it up and throw it aside, or ask them to cup it in their hands. You now reveal the information any way you wish.
It is clean, simple and direct.
